I'm back!

Mmm... I ate these a while back:

(A bit like chilli con carne but with rocket instead of mince!) It was good but it also the most expensive salad I think I've ever purchased in my life; the man had already dished it out, packaged it up and weighed it when he told me the price and I foolishly felt unable to walk away! I shall make it myself next time...

And this is a rather naughty slice of incredibly indulgent chocolate tart from the boulangerie round the corner

This week-end I've been for another little walk...

The Eiffel tower lit up in partial fog/mist/drizzle:

This is a tower made up of lots of different brightly coloured tubes!

The Seine, as Amel so beautifully put it "a sortie de son lit" - has gotten up out of its bed - and these trees were climbing out of the water!

This is a little statue I found in a rose garden on an island and liked. Someone had put a little rose in her hand!

I met up with Amel and her cousin Sunday night and we went to "Ice Magic" an ice sculpture exhibition of all the famous monuments around the world at the Christmas Market on the Champs-Élysées. Then we went on a very big ferris wheel and got beautiful views of Paris by night!
